Why is eating a variety of colors important? 🤔 Other than making your plate look Instagram-worthy— color is often an indicator of what foods are made of. Here are two easy tips for getting more variety in your diet ⬇️ 🔹While you may not need to memorize which foods contain which nutrients, you can start by adding a diverse array of colors to your plate throughout the day. (Greens are cool— but don’t forget the other colors as well 😎) 🔹Try and rotate fruits and veggies weekly during your grocery shop. This keeps things exciting, and also gives us a chance to get some different nutrients in.

Thanksgiving is ONE day. Here is your friendly reminder to kill any food-associated guilt you may have. Eat the foods you love, just do it in moderation. No, you don't need to swap the mashed potatoes for mashed cauliflower (unless you just looove them and Thanksgiving won’t be the same without them— and in that case, you do you, boo. We’ll be over here with the potatoes...) Here are a few helpful tips to manage food stress around the holidays: 1.) Eat a slice of pie. Not the entire pie. Maybe don’t eat pie for breakfast every day for the next week. Enjoy it, and move on. Your habits and goals can still resume the next day uninterrupted. 2.) Same with all of the other foods. Pass your leftovers along to other family members if you're going to be tempted to dive face-first into a bowl of gravy for the next week. (Or make just enough food for the holiday. Less cooking, lower grocery bill, less temptation? Win. Win. Win.) 3.) Go for a light walk to help aid in digestion and increase energy levels after a large meal. Eat, drink, be merry. But you CAN also feel good afterwards too!

Committed club September 2023 and Q3

The TEN DAY TURNAROUND. It’s hard to believe it already happened a year ago. Last year’s move was not something that was planned. And to be honest, it was difficult to crack a smile and see the silver lining when the world was being turned upside down so rapidly. We called it the “ten-day turnaround.”Everything you see here happened in less than 10 days, because business (and life) doesn’t stop just because we were thrown a curveball. It was ALL thanks to our members and friends. This would not have been possible without the support of you all. Whether it was the ones swinging hammers, packing boxes, loading equipment, scrubbing moldy toilets, or making sure we were fed. This community runs deep. We even had other gym owners on our side, shout out @alignathletics_cft and @theheroeshome (Box owners— a humble reminder that the gym up the road is NOT your competition. We are all here for the same reason, and life is much more beautiful when we realize this and EMBRACE synergy.) Through all of the tears, mold, and way too much caffeine— this move did bring our tribe closer together than ever. It also brought many happy memories, new faces, and opportunities. We are excited to see what opportunity is next. 🤔
